Kelly Murphy, Jarred Kellerman and I got together with one goal in mind. That is to help teenagers believe more in themselves, find more confidence in the strengths they have and feel empowered to speak up and feel heard. You may have heard that it takes a community to raise a healthy young person, but actually, it takes a healthy and aware community to raise healthy young people. This is why we started YACC, Youth Advocates of Community Change. To help young people, parents, educators and community leaders come together, get on the same page and build a healthy and aware community.
Kelly Murphy after dealing with trauma and homelessness as a young person is a personal counselor who works with many troubled your people at the Australian Center of Trauma and Wellness. Jarred Kellerman, also with challenges as a disengaged young person, is now on a mission to help build resilience in adolescent youth & improve confidence in joining the “real world”. These are two wonderful people who I respect totally and love working with.
This is a powerful conversation about how we can help empower the amazing potential that lies within every young person. Regardless of whether you are a teenager, were a teenager, have a teenager, educate teenagers or having any contact with or influence over a teenager, this conversation will have something that will make a difference, not just in the lives of young people, but in your own life as well. This is a powerful, inspiring and wonderful conversation you do not want to miss.
